Watershed Studios is a contemporary residency and gallery on the edge of the Connemara coast. We host international artists and writers whose work responds to the light, salt, and silence of the west of Ireland. Every work here is by a Watershed artist, made during their stay or in the years since, and is offered for purchase.

A self-directed coastal residency.
Founded in 2018, Watershed Studios gives artists a dedicated space to detach from the acceleration of urban life. The residency is self-directed: no set curriculum and no imposed outcome, so each artist can follow the work where it needs to go.
Residents live on-site in converted stone cottages, sharing a communal workshop while maintaining private studio spaces overlooking the North Atlantic.
